r
September 3, 2004
Richard W. and Stephanie J. Cleveland
1230 Butte Lane
Eugene, OR 97401
RE: Offer to Purchase proposed right of way for the Debrick Road/Butte Lane
Public Improvement Project, a portion of tax lot 1200 in map 17-03-19-43
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland:
As you are aware, the City of Eugene is planning to realign Debrick Road, Butte Lane,
and Clinton Drive. A portion of your property is needed for the proposed project and an
appraisal of the affected area of your property and an offer to purchase was sent to you
in late May.
At your request, the project team has revised and reduced the original right of way area
required from you. The revised area is now 98 square feet.
I have included a copy of the revised project drawing .for your review. Based on the
previous appraisal at $3 a square foot, the new area required calculates to a fair market
value ($3 x 98 sf), rounded, of $300
This fetter shall serve as the City of Eugene's formal offer to purchase the subject 98
square foot area for $300. In addition to the cost of the appraisal, the City will pay all
other typigl costs associated in the sale, and recording fees. We propose to close
escrow within 30 days of your acceptance or as soon thereafter as dosing documents
and legal descriptions can be prepared.
