Matt Rodrigues
March 18, 2005
Page 3
traffic data provided by the City will be analyzed to develop estimates of the cumulative equivalent
18,000-pound single axle load (ESAL) repetitions fora 20-year design period. Pavement design
analysis will be accomplished using the procedures of the September 2004 ODOT Pavement Design
Guide and the 1993 AASHTO Guide for Design of Pavement Structures. Design recommendations will
be developed for overlay, inlay, deep milling and reconstruction as appropriate for the project
conditions. Alternative flexible and rigid pavement designs will be developed for reconstruction. We
will prepare techzucal memorandum reports for each roadway segment to present our findings and
recommendations. These reports will include design documentation, distress maps and typical sections
depicting our design recommendations.
Field Review Meeting
We have assumed one meeting with City staff for field review of the projects.
Project Schedule
Our estimated schedule for the work is as follows:
Pro'ect Schedule -Table 2
Task Start Date Estimated Completion Date
Field Reconnaissance 4/4/05 4/$/05
FWD Testin 4/11!05 4/19/05
Visual Surve 4/25/05 5/6/05
Corin E !orations 4/25!05 5/6105
Desi Anal sis 5!9/05 5/27/05
Re rts 5/23/05 6/3!05
Project Fee
We propose to accomplish the above described work scope on a time and expenses basis in accordance
with the rate schedule in our current Personal Services Contract with the City (2003-00216).
