This change is a
result of discussions with Michelle Cahill regarding a streambank stabilization project at the Terry Street path overlook
(near the PFC campus). I have identified 12 outfalls to be stabilized in the outfall project, 5 of which are located in the
immediate vicinity of the overlook. With this connectivity, it makes sense that the projects be combined and my workload
allows me to add the overlook streambank stabilization to the outfall project.
There are two potential sources for funding the additional work in the Storm Utility (531) fund. The first is an old job
number, GJN 4061, that still shows $10,402. This old project was a Mike Shields project where he started the design work
on this overlook (as well as two other streambank stabilization projects). This project has been inactive since 2003. I
recommend we close GJN 4061 and roll that money into the current project, GJN 4326. The second source is $90,000
from the streambank Stabilization monies. After consulting with Terry Colvin, I expect the $100,400 to cover all
engineering and repair work to the bank and overlook platform.
Please let me know if you have any questions or further instructions. Thank you.
Jenifer M. A~i~er
Civil Engineer
City of Eugene
Public Works Engineering
(541)682-5364
1
