I INVITATION TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS <br />CITY OF EUGENE <br />INVITATION TO SUBMIT PROROSALS <br />2007200106 <br />Notice to Offerors <br />Sealed proposals for Broadway at Willamette Concrete Work for the City of Eugene will be <br />accepted by the Purchasing Office, 100 West 10th Avenue, Suite 400, Eugene, Oregon 97401 <br />until 2:30 PM, Tuesday, July 3, 2007. Pcoposais will be opened immediately thereafter and a <br />reeord of proposals received will be made. Proposals will not be accepted after the proposal <br />closing time and date. Proposals shall be valid for 90 days after opening unless otherwise <br />specified in the specifications. This Invitation to Submit Proposals does not commit the City to <br />pay any costs incurred by any offeror in the submission of a proposal. <br />Proiect Description <br />In general, the purpose of this project is to convert the brick portions of the traffic lanes of <br />Broadway at Willamette Street to decorative concrete while maintaining the essence of the art <br />piece for which the bricks are integraL <br />Solicitation Documents <br />Solicitation documents may be examined at the City of Eugene Purchasing Office, 100 West <br />~ 10th Avenue, Suite 400, Eugene, Oregon 97401 or electronically on the eBid system at <br />https~//customer ionwave net/euaene-or <br />Offerors must submit one original proposal directly to the City's Purchasing Office at 100 West <br />10th Avenue, Suite 400, Eugene, Oregon 97401 before the due date and time specified in the <br />request for proposal. <br />Prevailina Waue <br />This solicitation is for a public works project which is subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. <br />Offerors shall reference the most current rates and all pertinent amendments as published by <br />BOLI available at: http~//www boli state or us/BOLI/WHD/PWR/pwr state.shtml <br />Asbestos Abatement <br />Asbestos work is not anticipated. If asbestos conditions are discovered,Contractor shall <br />immediately notify City of Eugene. If work is required, Contractor shall comply with ORS <br />279C.525. <br />Emalovee Drua Testina Proaram <br />Pursuant to ORS 279C.503(2), all contractors and subcontractors working on public <br />improvement contracts shall demonstrate that an employee drug testing program is in place. <br />Certificate of Bidder/Contractor of Employee Drug Testing Policy shall be submitted with the bid. <br />Public Works Bond <br />A contractor or subcontractor, unless exempt under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870, shall file with <br />the Construction Contractors Board a public works bond with a corporate surety authorized to <br />do business in this state in the amount of $30,000. Before starting work on a contract for a <br />public works project, the contractor shall provide the City with a written statement certifying <br />contractor and any subcontractor have filed a public works bond as required above. <br />
