' An interdepartmental committee was has met several times to identify, discuss, and prioritize the <br />list of potential legacy projects. An emphasis was placed on projects that would create a lasting <br />legacy through permanent improvements, are focused on areas most likely to impact the Eugene '08 <br />experience and those that could realistically be completed by June of 2008. Project leads were <br />designated and budget targets for each were developed. The current list of projects includes: <br />o -l-c> 8id ~av--~ -~.a-n pc75 ~~ 1~.G~vl, ~,lC, <br />~ Way-Finding and Interpretive Signage $48,000 <br />\~ Provide appropriate signage for directions to/from Hayward Field and river paths, downtown. On- <br />street signage $18, 000, off-street signage $S0, 000 ($20, 000 being matched by Eugene Parks <br />Foundation) <br />Alton Baker Park Improvements $25,000 <br />Interpretive signage/kiosks, Whilamut Prairie plantings, restoration & enhancement <br />Enhancements to Autzen Foot Bridge $10,000 <br />Clean up and beautify the Willamette footbridge connecting UO carrtpus and Autzen Stadium, a <br />major corridor for pedestrians/bicyclists. Enhance bridge, replace bridge rail and bench. <br />Recycling $5,000 ~ <br />Place receptacles and infoYmation about recycling along riverfront and bike/pedestrian trails on <br />_ the corridor from Autzen Stadium to Hayward Field . <br />,, <br />~ <br />Willamette River Cleanup <br />Bank clean up, invasive species removal and habitat restoration. (Use existing staff and contracts.) <br />
