Road access to the top of the butte is <br /> available via the eastern section of the loop, accessed off of W. 31d from High. <br /> From 8 a.m. to noon, Rotary volunteers and City parks staff will work together to restore <br /> native upland prairie habitat on the west slope of the butte, recover views from the butte summit <br /> by removing several trees, and repair a large segment of the summit loop trail to improve <br /> accessibility. <br /> Since 1996, the Eugene Rotary Club has sponsored several significant volunteer <br /> rehabilitation and beautification projects on Skinner Butte, including the Veteran's Memorial <br /> overlook and flag.
