A list of priority sites has been compiled and will be the first to <br /> receive the new signs,including all bond measure projects. The fabrication package will go out to bid <br /> early next year,and installation is anticipated to occur in summer 2004. <br /> River Play--City POS staff is working on a partnership with the Eugene Lions Club,Eugene Active 20/30 <br /> Club and the Eugene Rotary Club to design and build two new,regional play attractions in the heart of <br /> Eugene. The project,entitled"River Play,"includes two complementary projects that will be linked by the <br /> Ruth Bascom Riverside Trail System. <br /> This summer,an extensive,nationwide search resulted in the hiring of MIG,Inc.,a nationally recognized <br /> leader in playground design. POS staff is working on an outreach campaign that includes gathering input <br /> from school-age children,parents of preschool children,and other stakeholders. This information will <br /> provide the consultant with a body of ideas and criteria for the playground design. The design phase will <br /> come together at a major public design workshop on October 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.at the Campbell Senior <br /> Center.
