John Todd and Jerry Horrocks <br /> of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers , Portland District and David <br /> Ritter, your Maintenance Supervisor and Deborah Evans of your <br /> Engineering Department was profitable. The inspection served three <br /> important purposes, It: <br /> e to help <br /> (1) Providedflood controlal worksltoaacdependabley (Sponsor) <br /> maintain thee <br /> flood protection <br /> standard. <br /> (2) Evaluated your (Sponsor' s) compliance with the maintenance <br /> agreement with us (Corps) . <br /> (3) Determined what you (Sponsor) must do now to be eligible <br /> for our (Federal) rehabilitation assistance when the flood control <br /> system is damaged during a flood. <br /> Our inspection found the general maintenance of your flood <br /> control works to be acceptable. However, the following deficiencies <br /> were noted and discussed: <br /> eter <br /> d on the <br /> a. Ruts and depressions , the results of vehicle traffic during <br /> wet periods were noted on the access road between Greenhill and Fir <br /> Butte Road and downstream of the diversion structure near Station <br /> 215+00. <br /> c. The fence extending into the channel near Station 410+00 <br /> needs to be removed. We were notified during the inspection that <br /> the owner will be removing both his sheep and the fence soon. <br /> In general you maintenance program is being well executed. <br /> Gatewell structures have been oiled and repaired as necessary. <br /> We also noted that berry vines have been cleared from the concrete <br /> lined channel. <br />
