Jeff Krueger
Lane Council of Governments
125 East 8th Avenue
Eugene, Oregon 97401 •
Dear Jeff:
This letter approves the request by the Upper Amazon Steering Committee, a
non-profit organization operating under the auspices of the Sierra Club, to
organize a clean-up project along the upper portion of Amazon Creek in
Eugene, beginning at Snell Street and working south. The objectives of the
project are to remove non-native vegetation (English Ivy and Himalayan Black- ,
berry) from the area, as well as general debris. The date of the event is to
be September 26, 1992.
(Cathy, I'm not sure you are the one to fill in the info with respect to
insurance we provide to volunteers, hold harmless, etc. Could you add a
paragraph covering that aspect and send it back to me? This should be treat-
ed the same way the West Amazon Creek clean-ups have. Thanks.)
Thank you for part in making this project happen.
Sincerely,
John Etter,
Public Works Maintenance/Parks PlanningThanks.)
