The big day was a <br /> uccess due to the efforts of many. Staff members report it was business as usual, with income tax forms, "going like <br /> hotcakes". <br /> Jackie Britton, Property Manager with Jennings& Co. said, "We are indeed pleased that the moisture problem was <br /> identified and the repairs went so well." Angel Jones, Executive Director of Library Recreation and Cultural Services, <br /> concurred, "We were very fortunate to have worked in a collaborative environment with our management company, <br /> Jennings&Co." <br /> Connie Bennett, Library Services Director, stated, "As the rainy season escalated,there was an increase of moisture in <br /> the concrete slab. Our goal was to fix this quickly and get on with the business of serving our public. We are thrilled that <br /> Sheldon Branch Library patrons will again have convenient neighborhood library service." <br /> Sheldon Branch hours of operation are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 12 noon - 8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 10 <br /> a.m.to 6 p.m. The facility is closed on Sundays and Mondays. For more information, contact Darla Parry, Extension <br /> Services Manager at 682-5096. <br /> Centro LatinoAmericano Noche Cultural <br /> You are invited to join friends, community leaders, neighbors, and colleagues for an evening of great food, music, and <br /> recognition at Centro LatinoAmericano's annual "Noche Cultural" on Saturday, May 17, at the Lane Community College <br /> Conference Center, 4000 E. 30th Ave, Eugene. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Included in this year's event are a gourmet <br /> dinner, no-host bar, silent auction, Centro Pueblo Awards, and dancing to the Cuban salsa music of Son Meloe. <br /> "Noche Cultural" is a fundraising event for Centro LatinoAmericano, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the <br /> lives of the Hispanic/Latino residents of Lane County.
