The meeting is the
second public workshop designed to gather input from area residents about this currently
undeveloped neighborhood park located at the south end of the Amazon Parkway between
West Amazon Drive and Alpine Loop. The low-impact concept plan to be discussed at the
meeting is based on a desire for minimal improvements as expressed by neighbors gathered at
the first public workshop in November. Meeting participants will also be able to discuss the
results of a survey recently sent to nearly 850 park neighbors to help gather input about the
proposed improvements. The draft park plan, as well as a report of the results of the first
workshop, are currently available online at
www.ci.eugene.or.us/PW/PARKS/Kinney/FKP index.htm.
Park improvements are funded by the Parks and Open Space bond measure voters
approved in 1998. For more information or to give input into this park planning process, call 682-
4915 or visit the website listed above.
# # #
