Volunteers from the service _ <br /> organization worked alongside Parks and Open Space staff grouting <br /> ti <br /> the bases of the pergola, pressure-washing the trellis entryway, • <br /> weeding the future site of the garden's community center, pruning <br /> " <br /> roses, and helping to install a new gazebo in the heart of the garden. , <br /> The Delta Rotarians adopted Owen Rose Garden in 1999 as a . - i <br /> community service project. In partnership with the City, the group <br /> I 11 <br /> has accomplished several projects, including decorating the garden J <br /> with trellises, creating rose bed borders and building a large pergola . <br /> to adorn the walkway with climbing roses. The gazebo is the �= = _ •,r <br /> group's latest project. Funded through the group's spring <br /> fundraising campaign and a matching grant from the City, the <br /> azebo has been purchased and its foundation laid.
