AMAZON CREEK BIKE TRAIL TREE PLANTING PROJECT
Bailey Hill Road to Richardson Bridge - Part One
Tree planting project to create shade and enhance experiential
qualities of the Bike path between City View and Bailey Hill Road.
Project will be broken into three sections beginning at Bailey Hill
Road and then travel east.
All tree planting locations are on City of Eugene property or on property with a
maintenance easement.
Most of the trees planted along the creek side of the trail are in locations wider than 12
feet from top of bank to bike trail (see section). The 12 foot width allows for the large
6610 Ford tractor to pass on the creek side of the trees for bank maintenance. Those
trees planted in areas narrower then 12' (see plan for locations) will require a small
mower or weed eater to control vegetation.
The large planting area on the north side of the bike trail will require hand maintenance
around trees until plants are established.
MAINTENANCE
CREEK SIDE PLANTING AREAS THAT ARE OVER TWELVE FEET WIDE WILL BE
MAINTAINED USING THE FORD 6610 TRACTOR AND MOWER. THE AREAS
AROUND TREES WILL REQUIRE HAND MAINTENANCE.
r7Q 3 '
s
NO TREES WILL BE PLANTED
IN THE CORE FLOOD AREA BELOW
l / THE TOP OF THE BANK
l
1 FORD 6610 TRACTOR
BIKE PATH i '. 1 /
VAWN
--- 10' -0"
MINIMUM CLEARANCE
PROPOSED TREE
PLANTING AREA AMAZON CREEK
A MA 7(T.t (-RPM( RTKE TRAIL TREE PLANTING PROJECT page 1
