After reviewing the preliminary scoping statement, Les asked the Service Team to <br /> facilitate a process improvement project for Urban Forestry regulations. The improvement <br /> project will focus on finding short term fixes for tree issues relating to the Planned Unit <br /> Development process. <br /> Boundary <br /> Start /End: Predevelopment meetings to Development project completion. <br /> - • • - , la 1- • . to - • • • - • - From Public Works: Johnny Medlin and Scott Plamondon, <br /> From Planning and Development: Jean Hahn, Mike Mckerrow and Steve Nystrom. We are <br /> coordinating with AFSCME representation m accordance with the guidelines provided by the <br /> Joint Labor - Management Relations Committee. <br /> Department Contacts: Mike Mckerrow and Johnny Medlin <br /> Projected Number of Meetings /Hours <br /> ► One eight hour meeting Monday, October 7, at Lamb Cottage with the entire team to <br /> identify problems in the current process. The group will request your approval to <br /> reconvene if necessary. <br /> ► To prepare for this meeting, the facilitators will meet with Jean Hahn to review the <br /> work from the tree issues team. Also, the facilitors will meet with two members of the <br /> project team to develop a draft process map. <br /> Desired Results of the Project <br /> 1. A map of the existing process: who's involved, what steps are in it, how long does it <br /> take *, what kind of paper trail is created /maintained. <br /> *If accurate measurements do not now exist, the group will estimate cycle times. <br /> 2. The team's draft recommendation of the desired future process: who's involved, what <br /> steps are in it, what kind of paper trail is created /maintained. <br /> 3. Identification of short and long term solutions to improve the current process. <br /> 4.
