May 12, 1986 NUISANCE COMPLAINTS Several City Departments receive nuisance type complaints from the public as well as from fellow City Employees. Often there is confusion as to who is handling what. Hopefully, the following matrix will reduce the degree of con- fusion. Information about handling of other problems may be found on CEINFO. Problem Responsibility Process Dead animal in street or alley right of way note: Hwy 99 and Beltline are state highway maintain- ed and animals on those streets should be reported to State Highway Division. Public Works Maintenance Dead animals on private Property Owner property Crippled domestic animals Tri- Agency Animal Regulation Nofity Maintenance Div- ision at x5220 or Ray Baker at x5279. Ray will schedule on pick- up route normally dur- ing same day reported or if late in the day, it will be scheduled in morning. Animals are disposed of at Tri - Agency Animal Regula- tion at 3970 W 1st Ave. Ray Baker will notify by telephone if known - if written notice is required refer to Marsha Miller at x5281 or x5224. Animals may be disposed of at Tri - Agency, 3970 W 1st, free of charge, between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. phone 687 -3647 for information. Tri- Agency Animal Reg- ulation will pick up crippled domestic an- imals i f .you notify them at 687 -3645 or 687 -3646. Tri- Agency has an agreement with Animal Health at 2835 Willamette, 345 -1544, where crippled animals may be taken during off duty hours for emer- gency care.
