POSITION TIME AS A PERCENT OF INDIVIDUAL MANAGEMENT CATEGORY TIME <br />The temporary employee spends 100 % of their time on developed property <br />management, with no time devoted to undeveloped property management, City <br />owned property management, or any program administration. As such the <br />position of Vegetation Manager accounts for 100 % of the time devoted to these <br />other aspects of the program. This means that the position of Vegetation <br />Manager spends a proportionally smaller percentage of it's time on developed <br />property management than the program spends as a whole. It also means, <br />therefore, that the position of Vegetation Manager spends a proportionally <br />larger percentage of it's time on undeveloped property management, City owned <br />property management, and program administration than the program spends on <br />these aspects as a whole. <br />The 528 hours of temporary time devoted to the developed property management <br />category of the vegetation program equates to 31,680 minutes. When this <br />figure is subtracted from the operations total of 53,570 minutes devoted to <br />this management category it shows that only 21,890 minutes of total program <br />time were spent by the Vegetation Manager in the daily operations of the <br />developed property category. Added to the 35,116 minutes that were devoted to <br />undeveloped property management operations and the 6,375 minutes that were <br />devoted to City property management operations yields a total of 63,381 <br />minutes devoted to program operations by the Vegetation Manager. When this <br />figure is divided into the Vegetation Manager's operations times per each <br />category, the percentage of this position's daily operations time for each is <br />determined. <br />Regular position operations time devoted to developed property = 34.5 <br />Regular position operations time devoted to undeveloped property = 55.4 <br />Regular position operations time devoted to City property = 10.1 <br />100.0 <br />By adding the previously calculated 6,520 minutes of administration time to <br />the Vegetation Manager's operation's times we come up with 28,410 total <br />minutes devoted to developed property management, 41,636 total minutes devoted <br />to undeveloped property management, and 13,475 total minutes devoted to City <br />property management. This comes to a total of 83,521 minutes devoted to the <br />program by the Vegetation Manager, and is, as previously mentioned, exactly <br />174 working days.
