1 V
PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE DIVISION
1820 ROOSEVELT BLVD. 0 EUGENE, OREGON 97402 •
(503) 687 -5220
September 7, 1989
ACC. #: 822
RAY SALYER
VICKI SALYER
2582 LAUREL HILL DR
EUGENE, OR 97403
Taxlot Numbers: 18- 03 -08 -44 -01400
General Location: E SIDE PINE CANYON DR, JUST BEFORE CUL -DE -SAC AT END
To insure the health, safety, and general welfare of Eugene's residents,
the City enforces a vegetation ordinance (Eugene Code 6.005 and 6.515) that
states that grass, weeds, and "obnoxious" vegetation over 10 inches high on
any property or adjoining right -of -way within the City limits must be mowed
or controlled by the property owner.
This letter is to notify you that a City inspector has examined your property
upon 09/05/89 and found vegetation in excess of the height allowed by the
City code and to ask you to remove the vegetation within 10 days from the date
of this letter. If the problem is not corrected by then, we will remove the
vegetation and bill the cost of the work to you. The City has established a
minimum charge of $75, but costs may be higher. We urge you to take care of
the work yourself or to hire a contractor; work performed by a private contr-
actor is usually less expensive.
YOUR ACTION NEEDED:
CUT THE TALL WEEDS, GRASS, THISTLES, AND BLACKBERRIES GROWING IN THE NW
CORNER OF THIS PROPERTY SO THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER OVER 10 INCHES HIGH.
THIS VEGETATION IS POSING A FIRE HAZARD AND IS CURRENTLY IN VIOLATION OF
CITY CODE. REMOVE THIS VEGETATION UP TO THE TREE LINE ALONG PINE CANYON DR
AND ALONG THE ENTIRE DRIVEWAY THAT ABUTS THIS PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE.
This ordinance is enforced according to the following schedule:
DEVELOPED PROPERTY: Enforced throughout the year
UNDEVELOPED PROPERTY: Enforced from June 15 through Sept. 30
If you have questions about the ordinance or want additional information,
please call Jack Long of Public Works Maintenance Division at 683 -6821.
Sincerely,
ck Long
egetation Manager
