Estimated down time: 7 weeks. <br /> Down time is considered to begin when construction begins and run until field is playable. With <br /> "Sand Channel" drainage, or trenches 6" or less in width, the field can be returned to play upon <br /> completion of the work. Turf over sand trenches is not an option; seeding in the sand is an <br /> option. When seeding, it is recommended to hold the field out of play for 3 - 4 months on <br /> softball fields, and 8 - 11 months for soccer. <br />
