I am writing you this
letter on behalf of Mayor Piercy.
I appreciate your excellent observations about Bond Lane Park and agree that the park is in
much need of attention. In 1998 a Parks Bond measure created a funding source for park
improvements throughout the city. Although Bond Lane Park was not identified for
improvements in the bond, I wanted to let you know that it is one of our top priorities over the
next five years.
PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLANNING Funding for park improvements continues to be a challenge for us and letters like this really
help when it comes time to prioritizing our limited funds for this type of project.
PARKS MAINTENANCE Thank you again for your insight into the importance Bond Lane Park plays in your
neighborhood. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions or
concerns.
URBAN FORESTRY
Best regards,
NATURAL RESOURCES
Carolyn Weiss
Parks and Open Space Planning Manager
cc.
