I am writing you this <br /> letter on behalf of Mayor Piercy. <br /> I appreciate your excellent observations about Bond Lane Park and agree that the park is in <br /> much need of attention. In 1998 a Parks Bond measure created a funding source for park <br /> improvements throughout the city. Although Bond Lane Park was not identified for <br /> improvements in the bond, I wanted to let you know that it is one of our top priorities over the <br /> next five years. <br /> PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLANNING Funding for park improvements continues to be a challenge for us and letters like this really <br /> help when it comes time to prioritizing our limited funds for this type of project. <br /> PARKS MAINTENANCE Thank you again for your insight into the importance Bond Lane Park plays in your <br /> neighborhood.
