During a big storm on November 17, a number of branches from the bordering trees broke off and began forming a dam with the potential of impeding the free flow of water and causing us some major problems. I called the Parks and Open Space phone number and left a message describing the situation. Within a very short time, Ryan Turner returned my call. He was not only very courteous but also told me he would check out the problem. I assumed it would be weeks before the branches would be cleared away. Two days later, early in the morning, we heard the sound of chain saws. There, in two feet of water, were three men clearing the creek behind our house. They then continued down the creek to clear other obstructions and address any problems. After they finished, they stopped at our house to let us know what had been done. On the surface this could appear as if they were "just doing their jobs." But it was much more than that. It was such blue ribbon delivery of service in terms of courtesy, promptness of response and professionalism that we knew on the spot that we would be writing this letter. Their names are: Randy Turner the team leader, Brennan McCommon and Stacy Turnbull. Would you communicate our appreciation to them? They were terrific and really nice guys besides.
