September 3, 2014

CONTACT: John Bonham, Project Manager, 541-682-5300

From Public Information Section, 541-682-5523 or 541-Paving954-2938

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Traffic Advisory:
Paving on Donald Street Will Close Travel Lanes
Motorists using Donald Street from 46 Avenue to Fox Hollow Road should anticipate
th
closed travel lanes and detours for the next several days during daytime construction hours.
Paving work today through Friday will close Donald Street to northbound traffic.
Northbound traffic can use Fox Hollow Road as an alternate route, or use local streets to get around
the construction zone. Watch for signs and flaggers directing traffic.
Over the weekend, all lanes will be open for traffic, and no closures are scheduled.
On Monday and Tuesday, paving will resume, closing the street to southbound traffic.
Southbound traffic can use Fox Hollow Road as an alternate route, or use local streets to get around
the construction zone. Watch for signs and flaggers directing traffic.
The paving work is part of a project that also included repairing 46 Avenue from Donald to
th
Willamette Street. The work is being done by Wildish Construction, under contract to the Eugene
Public Works Department. The estimated $1.5 million cost of the project is funded primarily by
Eugene’s local gas tax.
For more information on this and other area road projects, go to www.keepusmoving.com
or follow EugenePW on Twitter.
# # #

Public Works Administration ● City of Eugene ● 101 E.
