DRAFT 16 <br /> 3. Conduct surveys using individuals very familiar with the biology and ecology of L. <br /> bradshawii and the other potentially occurring rare species. <br /> 4. Conduct surveys only during periods when rare species that are may occur or are known <br /> to occur in the basin are most visible <br /> 5. Provide maintenance personnel with on -site direction as to the limits of all known <br /> subpopulations of target species, and the vegetative and flowering appearance of each <br /> one occurring in the area. <br /> 6. Provide direction to all staff, especially maintenance personnel, that all planning, <br /> maintenance, and construction activities affecting the area and immediate surroundings <br /> of known populations of target species and nearby drainages, will be carried out within <br /> the purpose of this agreement, or held in abeyance until all parties to this agreement <br /> consent, in writing, within 15 days of receipt of written notification. If no comment is <br /> provided within 15 days after receipt of notification, consent is assumed. <br /> 7. Conduct a statistically valid sampling of known populations of rare species at least every <br /> 4 1. years to estimate population size and monitor trends. <br />
