• <br /> DRAFT 7 <br /> found with L. bradshawii include: white - topped aster (Aster curtus), Willamette daisy <br /> (Erigeron decumbens var. decumbens), shaggy horkelia (Horkelia congesta ssp. <br /> congesta), Kincaid's lupine (Lupinus sulphureus ssp. kincaidii), Fender's blue butterfly <br /> (Icaricia icarioides fenderi), and northwestern pond turtle (Clemmys marmorata <br /> marmorata). <br /> Life History <br /> Lomatium bradshawii reproduces only by seed. The peak blooming period is usually the <br /> last week in April through the first week in May. Pollination method is not entirely <br /> known but may be through insects, self - pollination, or wind and rain. Kagan (1980) <br /> observed few pollinators, and data suggested that the plants observed were often <br /> "selfing." Fruits are present from late May to early June (Kagan 1980) and are dropped <br /> upon maturity. Seeds fall to the ground and may be distributed by flood waters, but this <br /> has not been confirmed. <br /> Status <br /> Fourteen distinct populations of L. bradshawii currently occur in four areas of the <br /> Willamette Valley (USFWS 1993).
