General Environmental Protection/Restoration: Following acquisition, the Parks and Open Space Division <br />will develop a management plan based on site inventory and local expertise to protect, restore, and maintain <br />the natural resource values of the site. The City of Eugene has not only extensive experience with manage- <br />ment plans, but has developed a great deal of management expertise together with its local partners, includ- <br />ing the Bureau of Land Management and The Nature Conservancy. The management plan would include <br />proposed recreational hiking and biking trails sited so as to provide protection of the most sensitive natural <br />features, while also offering a unique opportunity to educate the public about these rare species and about <br />the overall Amazon Creek watershed, and the importance of its headwaters. <br />16. REQUIRED PERMITS — ACQUISITION & DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS — <br />a)List potential permits and status of permit applications that may be required for proposed <br />project (i.e. Corps of Engineers, Division of State Land, Building Permits, etc.) <br />b) Describe any possible delays or challenges that could occur in receiving permits. <br />There are no federal, state, nor local permits required to carry out the acquisition. <br />
