• <br /> IN THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LANE COUNTY, - <br /> IN THE MATTER OF AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF <br /> ) THE CENTRAL SECTION OF EAST ALTON BAKER <br /> PARK TO THE CITY OF EUGENE AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CONVEYANCE OF THE EASTGATE SECTION OF <br /> ).EAST ALTON BAKER PARK TO THE CITY OF <br /> ) SPRINGFIELD, AND ENTERING INTO AN <br /> ORDER NO. 93- 2 -17 -10 ) INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY <br /> ) OF EUGENE, CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, AND THE <br /> ) WILLAMALANE PARK,AND RECREATION DISTRICT <br /> ) FOR SUCH CONVEYANCES AND DELEGATING <br /> ) AUTHORITY TO THE ACTING COUNTY <br /> ) ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, ORS 275.330 authorizes the conveyance of county parks and — <br /> recreational areas to incorporated cities for public use; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County has, through the urban transition process, established <br /> a policy that responsibility for the delivery of metropolitan park services <br /> occurring in the metropolitan area could appropriately be transferred from the <br /> County to the cities and /or the appropriate special district; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lane County is the owner of East Alton Baker Park and no longer <br /> has a need for this property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Eugene has agreed under certain conditions to accept <br /> from Lane County a portion of East Alton Baker Park known as the Central <br /> Section; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has agreed under certain conditions to <br /> accept from Lane County a portion of East Alton Baker Park known as the <br /> Eastgate Section and the City of Springfield will convey to the Willamalane <br /> Park and Recreation District who has also agreed to accept the property; <br /> WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement attached to this Board Order <br /> provides for the conditional conveyance of the Central Section of East Alton <br /> Baker Park to the City of Eugene and the Eastgate Section of East Alton Baker <br /> Park to the City of Springfield; <br /> NOW THEREFORE IT IS ORDERED that the Central Section of East Alton Baker <br /> Park be conveyed to the City of Eugene; and <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Eastgate Section of East Alton Baker Park <br /> be conveyed to the City of Springfield; and <br /> 29 <br />
