MINUTES <br />Citizen Planning Committee for the Whilamut Natural Area of Alton Baker Park <br />Willamalane Adult Activity Center; 215 West "C" Street <br />Springfield, Oregon <br />October 15, 2009 <br />October 15, 2009 <br />6:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Steve Cooper, Chair; Dennis Ernst, Vice Chair; Charles Biggs, William Hughes, Charlene <br />Larison, Vicky Mello, Mary Morrison, David Sonnichsen, Elliot McIntire, members; Neil <br />Bj6rklund, Eugene Parks & Open Space (POS); Greg Hyde, Willamalane Park & <br />Recreation District; Dick Upton, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT); Gene <br />Holloter, Cora Jones, Kate Ferschweiler, guests. <br />ABSENT: Jeff Ard, Sally Nunn, Theresa Brand, Charlotte Behin, Barbara May. <br />Mr. Cooper convened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. and noted those members who had indicated they would <br />not be in attendance. <br />Review and Adjust Agenda <br />Mr. Cooper confirmed there were no adjustments to the agenda. <br />2. Introductions <br />Mr. Cooper asked those present to introduce themselves. <br />3. Public Comment <br />No comments were offered by members of the public. <br />4. Approval of Minutes of July 16, 2009 <br />Ms. Larison noted she had not made a statement regarding roundabouts which had been attributed to her in <br />the July 16, 2009 meeting minutes. <br />Mr. Sonnichsen suggested that the sentence regarding the roundabout be stricken from the minutes. <br />Mr. Biggs, seconded by Ms. Larison, moved to strike the aforementioned state- <br />ment from the minutes. The motion passed unanimously, 9:0. <br />Mr. Hyde asked on behalf of Ms. Nunn if there had been discussion during the July 16 meeting regarding <br />the name of the new bridge area. No CPC members could recall any such issues being addressed during <br />that meeting. <br />Mr. Cooper suggested that any discussions regarding the naming of the new bridge area be tabled until a <br />later CPC meeting where they might be included under old business to be discussed. <br />Mr. Sonnichsen, seconded by Ms. Mello, moved to approve the minutes of the <br />MINUTES — Citizen Planning Committee October 15, 2009 Page 1 <br />Whilamut Natural Area <br />
