Please submit meeting minute corrections in writing to Pat French in person
or at patf __willamalane.org
From Howie Bonnett: We have currently four subcommittees, Wildlife, UO Relations, Signage,
and Outreach. Some have chairpersons and some do not. Some have members, too. The
number of subcommittees and areas of their functions are not restricted or mandated in our
by -laws. I think four subcommittees should be plenty, but perhaps we should broaden the UO
Subcommittee to make it a Governmental Relations Subcommittee and assign it additional
responsibilities to those involving the UO, such as BMX activities related to the City of Eugene,
budget advocacy for the Natural Area related to Willamalane and POS. With the Signage
Subcommittee there continue to be issues to be addressed related to enhancing the recognition
and function of the Natural Area, and there continues to be an important role for the Outreach
Subcommittee. I would suggest that one of these 4 subcommittees, as part of its duties before
the next meeting, take on a review of our by -laws and bring recommendations for any changes
before the full committee at our next meeting. I have scheduled an opportunity to discuss and
decide on our subcommittees' functions and compositions at our April meeting. Thank you and
see you there, Howie.
AGENDA
1.
