Obviously, the Prefontaine story cannot be <br /> adequately told without some geographic reference to the scenic City of Eugene. The <br /> collections include men's and women's tops containing a map of Alton Baker Park derived <br /> from Pre's running journal (and /or a name reference to Alton Baker Park). Enclosed please <br /> find representative line art depicting the designs. <br /> Therefore, NIKE seeks permission from the City of Eugene to incorporate in its <br /> designs the name and image of Alton Baker Park on apparel and headwear, and to <br /> manufacture, market, and sell said products. <br /> As you are well aware, NIKE makes numerous community investments directly in <br /> Eugene and also through our relationship with the University of Oregon. <br /> We would appreciate if you or the appropriate municipal official would please <br /> indicate the grant of your permission by signing the enclosed acknowledgment form.
