ISSUE OR PROBLEM <br />Shall Lane County convey a portion of county owned lands in the vicinity <br />of the Delta Ponds to the City of Eugene for use as a Nature Park? <br />111. DISCUSSION <br />A. Background <br />On May 3, 1995, the Board of County Commissioners received a request <br />from the Friends of Delta Ponds that the County and City establish the <br />Delta Ponds Nature Park. Lane County Parks staff was directed to <br />research this possibility and report back to the Board on the issue. <br />On June 21, 1995 the Board of County Commissioners received an oral <br />report and short memo from me that described the County's land <br />ownership in the Delta Ponds area and staff's recommendation for our <br />. 01 -- <br />Page 1 <br />
