The City has installed it at Checkermallow Access, an <br /> overlook at the north end of Meadowlark Prairie along Amazon Creek. <br /> Lane Audubon and the City of Eugene are hosting a joint dedication <br /> event on the morning of Saturday, October 22. Please come join us and <br /> v <br /> meet with city officials and members of the public to acknowledge this <br /> improved viewing opportunity for visitors to the West Eugene Wetlands. <br /> • <br /> Some of the activities currently planned include: <br /> 8:00 a.m. Bird Walk <br /> A bird walk through the wetlands lead by a Lane Audubon bird trip <br /> leader. <br /> Telescope 8 :3 a.m. Bicycle Tour of the Wetlands <br /> Dave Stone, from Lane Audubon, will lead a bicycle tour of the wetlands. <br /> Dedica This will begin along the bike path behind the Albertsoris store on W. <br /> 18th and Chambers St. and end at Checkermallow Access. This will be <br /> about a five -mile ride, arriving at Checkermallow in time for the 10:00 <br /> Saturday, October 22 a.m. dedication program. <br /> 10:00 a.m. 9:30 -11:00 a.m. Lane Audubon booth and fun for kids <br /> Checkermallow Access Prior to the dedication and immediately following it, Lane Audubon will <br /> West Eugene Wetlands have a booth set up to provide information.
