The amount of the assessment to your property is <br /> shown on the enclosed itemized page. <br /> A hearing before the Board of County Commissioners has been set <br /> for July 24, 1996, at 1:30 p.m. in Harris Hall of the Lane County <br /> Public Service Building, 125 East 8th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon. At <br /> that time, the Board will hear objections to your assessments, if <br /> any. <br /> Upon certification of the special assessments by the Board of <br /> Commissioners, which normally occurs at the close of the hearing, <br /> you will be notified, by a separate certified letter, of the <br /> methods of payment. You will have the option of paying the total <br /> amount due within 30 days of certification of the special <br /> assessments or you may make arrangements for installment <br /> payments. If the installment option is chosen, equal semi - annual <br /> installments may be made over a 10 -year period at an interest <br /> rate equal to the prime rate at the time the assessments are <br /> certified, plus three percent per annum on the unpaid balance. <br /> Please feel free to contact this department should you have any <br /> questions regarding the special assessment.
