3. Make no exchange; develop neighborhood park facilities on the site next to the school
site: This alternative would result in a site that leaves the southeasterly portion of the subarea not
served by reason of distance. The facilities provided would also duplicate in large part those
provided by a future school. In addition, the approved PUD for Crescent Meadow II would need
to be revised to delete the park.
D. Recommendation
Authorize staff to proceed with an equal area exchange of land in the Coburg- Crescent for the
purpose of providing a new neighborhood park site in a location that serves a greater population.
E. Timing
Both staff and developer wish to proceed immediately with sidewalk construction, an obligation
of the developer under the PUD permit. Sidewalk dimensions and location would be different
with a park than with residential development, and the Parks Planning staff have been offered the
chance to design those walks as part of the park.
VI. ATTACHMENTS
Vicinity Map showing relationship of the proposed site to the old, and to surrounding
land uses, existing and proposed.
Copy of tax lot map showing the portion of the existing site to be exchanged
Copy of the Subdivision Plan showing new park site
For more information, contact John Etter, Parks Planning -- 687 -5325.
