Maintenance Responsibilities. It is expected that on -going and annual maintenance of artificial
turf and other fields will accomplished primarily through a combination of volunteer activity and
maintenance fees paid by user groups. The City and 4J agree to share in the remaining cost of on-
going and annual maintenance based on the pro -rata share of community use vs. school district
use. Use will be "weighted" to allow for impact on fields and play areas by different sports and
uses. Periodic larger replacement, repair or major maintenance costs will be borne in the same
ratio.
The City and 4J shall determine how the maintenance is to be performed (i,e., City aff, 4J staff,
contracted, volunteer, etc.). The City and 4J shall mutually establish the ..t dart for quality of
maintenance based on local application of national standards published t'ational Recreation
and Parks Association. The City and 4J responsibilities for rn tttrenance , : ilities, and e
specifics of the standards, will be described by a separate written agreement: `"I to bile
.
e
as
high a
standard dard
as affordable and
possible.
Field Surface Replacement
The most significant anticipated capital improvement , . 40placeme {t a artificial surfaces
for the multi - purpose fields.
