Cie develop this property with the objective of submitting a development application before Goal 5 <br /> protections are implemented in June /July, 2005. <br /> Issues Selected for Analysis <br /> The scoping process identified the following issues. These issues serve to focus the analysis and <br /> the comparison of alternatives. <br /> Issue 1: How would acquisition affect watershed drainage functions? This issue will be assessed <br /> by the following measurement indicators: (a) acres of protected riparian area, (b) the <br /> length of protected waterways, (c) percent of impervious surface, and (d) stability of <br /> waterways. <br /> Issue 2: How would acquisition affect wildlife habitat? This issue will be assessed by the <br /> following measurement indicators: (a) acres of habitat vegetated with native forest <br /> cover, and (b) contiguity with adjacent wildlife habitat. <br /> Issue 3: How would acquisition affect native plant populations? This issue will be assessed by <br /> the following measurement indicators: (a) acres of native dominated plant community, (b) <br /> acres of site within 50' of a road or cleared area and therefore vulnerable to weed <br /> Invasion. <br /> Issue 4: How would excavating, re- contouring, and re- vegetating with native species affect soil <br /> resources?
