This came as a surprise to all parties involved because
early information indicated an appraisal would support a $600,000 acquisition.
Unfortunately, the appraisal instead came in at $430,000.
Parks and Open
Space Planning We do have other properties with similar characteristics to the parcel
Parks Maintenance described in the grant that we are negotiating to purchase along Eugene's
South Hills Ridgeline. However, none of these were included in our original
Urban Forestry grant request. If there is a possibility to reallocate this grant to other lands, we
Wetlands and Open could certainly explore with you the suitability of applying the grant to the
Waterways purchase of one of these other properties. However, if reallocation is not a
possibility, we must regretfully decline the grant. Please call me at (541) 682-
4930 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
1
Johnny .
