Attempts to alter the park culture including (pot - Tucks, music, <br /> games, clean -ups, etc.) had minimal results. (MP) SP? <br /> f. Resources <br /> 1. Lacking across the board — social services, public safety, housing, <br /> employment, etc. <br /> 2. Specific populations — Groups of marginal populations "where do <br /> they get to be themselves" <br /> 3. Options for individuals leaving incarceration <br /> Recommendations <br /> Assign a pair of bike officers to the parks between May — Sept during certain <br /> hours <br /> II. Offer alternative programming to youth and young adults <br /> III. Put biohazard containers in various parks /restrooms where needles are <br /> used /found that would be available 24/7. <br /> IV. Set up /join monthly meetings with affiliations serving individuals who frequent <br /> these areas <br /> �- -. V. Change park design to reduce hidden areas, the berm, height & type of <br /> vegetation that limit sight -lines into the park <br /> VI. Look closely at the steps Dtown took to address issues in that area and <br /> discuss adopting some of those. <br />
