I will put them on the list for future removals. Scott
From: ROBERT Michael J
To: PLAMONDON Scott F
Cc: STANSFIELD Adrian E
Subject: FW: Dead and dying trees at Hendricks Park
Date: Tuesday, August 26, 1997 10:33AM
Updated list: includes one additional fir ; Aug. 26, 1997
From: ROBERT Michael J
To: PLAMONDON Scott F
Cc: STANSFIELD Adrian E
Subject: Dead and dying trees at Hendricks Park
Date: Monday, August 25, 1997 1:06PM
Scott, I have marked and flagged 10 fir trees at Hendricks
Park. I recommend these 10 trees for your inspection and
possible removal. There are an additional 3 fir trees I feel
should be watch closely for flagging. I'll list and describe
these trees and locations and will be glad to meet you for
further inspection.
1,-12" d multi- topped fir at in intersection of Fairmount Blvd
and the closed upper hill road in the park; the tree has lost
most all its needles
1, —24" d fir has a major lean and uprooted soil at the base;
You have examined this tree previously. It is located in the
picnic area
1, —40" d fir near the intersection of Parkside Dr. and Summit
Ave. on the second terrace up from the bottom of the Rhodo
garden. This tree has lost nearly all of its needles in a
typical pattern and typical timing of bark beetle infest.
1, —24" d fir , dead, along the Summit Ave path about 1/2 way
up the hill; sawdust evidence of bark beetle.
1, —30" d fir, dead, below the Trombert wall and above the previously described tree..
3 additional firs in the near vicinity of the previous 2 trees
show early evidence of bark beetle infest and some fruiting
bodies of Phellinus pini. MONITOR . (These 3 trees are not
marked or flagged.)
1, —50" d fir, half dead on Skyline Blvd, near lawn above the road.
Page 1
