The Hendricks Park Tree Committee will present
its Majority Position report to the media prior to a meeting scheduled by
the City to claim agreement that the 18 targeted trees are unreasonably
hazardous and ought to come down. The majority of the committee disagrees
with the City staff and is calling for development of a management plan for
the Park by a citizen's committee. The Committee asserts the City has not
done its homework and wants to halt plans to cut the trees prior to an
adequate study of the situation by competent professionals. Everyone
concerned about this issue and wishing to promote rational risk management
decisions and long -term planning for Hendricks Park please attend these
events.
