My
- wife and I are interested in purchasing one acre of City property
to be used as a homesite and we are prepared to pay $80,000.00 for
the lot. The property in question is at the end of one of the
inaccessible "arms" of Hendricks Park. I don't have a legal
description of the property in question, however, I have attempted
to diagram the parcel in question on the enclosed map. It is
located at the end of Malabar and Madrona Streets and extends over
a ridge heading down toward Fairmount Boulevard. The property
would be adjacent to the last residence on the north end of Malabar
and 2800 Fairmount Boulevard. Naturally this offer is contingent
upon agreement as to the legal description of the parcel, obtaining
city approval for usage of the parcel for one single - family
homesite and obtaining access to the homesite in a manner that
meets with the City's approval and that it satisfactory to us.
Over the past 22 years, I have walked, run, biked and driven
through Hendricks Park on hundreds of occasions. As an active
runner, I have run on e-very trail that is accessible Hendricks
Park. In all this time, I have never seen anybody forge a path
into the remote area of the park I'am offering to purchase. I
think the homesite could be developed in such a way that it would
be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for individuals visiting
the park to see the home without blazing a trail through dense
underbrush.
TELEX #910 459 2027 EUG • TELEFAX #503- 484 -4290
