We hosted the
Magnolia Society convention in March, 1994. We toured our garden,
Greer Gardens, Northwest Garden Nursery, and Hendricks Park. One of
the high points was Hendricks Park. We had people from the eastern
states, England, and South Korea, as well as from the northwest.
Many of the attendees said Hendricks Park was one of the finest
public parks they had seen.
We are also looking forward to hosting the Study Weekend for the
Hardy Plant Group in July, 1996. Hendricks Park will be one of the
15 gardens open to the participants.
We strongly believe that the connection between Hendricks Park
and the local and national plant groups and the area nurseries be
fostered. To help this cooperation we can really use the fliers
you mentioned. The reprinting of these brochures with maps to the
garden help when we have individuals or groups at the nursery. We
send may customers to the park to show mature specimens of many rare
plants.
We really wish to encourage the further promotion of Hendricks
Park as a tour destination, especially because of the park's beauty.
The park is also very centrally located for tourists to the Eugene -
Springfield area's hotels, motels, restaurants, university, and
shopping areas.
Please let us know how we may help further.
Sincerely,
1
