I am writing this letter to <br /> www.cieugene.or.ustmiparks summarize our discussion and agreements made towards the resolution of <br /> this issue. I have also included a map to help clarify the areas of discussion. <br /> On January 20, 2004, we had an on site meeting to inspect and verify the <br /> encroachments in relation to the Revocable Permit ( #95- 07448 -01) issued in <br /> October of 1995. We specifically looked at Exhibit 3, the map, to determine <br /> the extent of the encroachment. Present at the meeting in addition to you <br /> was: <br /> Jim Spickerman, attorney for Keith Wright <br /> Johnny Medlin, Parks and Open Space Division Manager <br /> Parts and open Sarah. Medary, Parks Maintenance Manager <br /> Space Planning <br /> Parks Maintenance After reviewing the plans and walking the site, the following agreements were <br /> made: <br /> Urban Forestry <br /> Wetlands and open 1) No final decisions regarding restoration or removal of landscape plants <br /> Watervrays <br /> or features will be made until the City completes the boundary survey <br /> of Hendricks Park and clearly defines the edge of the park. This <br /> survey is currently underway and results are expected in the next 30 <br /> days. <br /> 2) You will be allowed to keep the wall, steps and walkway as shown on <br /> the attached map and highlighted in yellow. The City is currently <br /> researching the best way to allow this continued use. <br /> 3) The City will remove all non - native landscape plants on Hendricks <br /> Park property and restore with an appropriate mix of native plants that <br /> would be found in that forest ecosystem. Restoration would not start <br /> any earlier than September of 2004 which would allow time for you to <br /> select and move any plants you would like to keep. <br /> 4) You agreed to cooperate with City staff on providing access for the <br /> restoration work. It is possible the City will be able to access through <br /> the park, however, your offer is appreciated and may be necessary. <br /> Access routes will be identified and agreed upon before restoration <br /> begins. <br /> 5) You agreed to remove the pond and associated pump house, <br /> benches and concrete work that are indicated on the attached map <br /> and highlighted in pink. <br /> 6) Removal and /or abandonment of the irrigation system on park property <br /> was discussed, but no final decision was made.
