Eugene Police are <br /> asking the public's help in reporting similar suspicious activity. <br /> Approximately 700 feet of five - strand copper wire was stolen and seven junction boxes <br /> were damaged along the East Bank Bicycle Path beginning near mile marker .75. The <br /> stolen wire provided power to path lights from Valley River Center to Marist High <br /> School. <br /> The theft and property damaged occurred sometime on Friday night, September 26. <br /> The thieves pried seven junction boxes off the ground along the bike path. The boxes <br /> had been glued shut with epoxy to prevent theft, so the thieves just pried them out of <br /> 1 <br />
