The Department of Aviation has partnered with local organizations and elected <br /> officials to link local workers to local opportunities. <br /> • US Department of Labor Hiring Welfare -to -Work Employees <br /> • • The Department of Labor provides information for small business owners to <br /> • facilitate the hiring of welfare recipients. <br /> Energy Department <br /> Using clean- burning and renewable fuels for energy sources and consuming energy in an <br /> efficient manner sets the foundation for a sustainable community: Lead the way by <br /> purchasing renewable energy (hydro, wind, solar) and installing energy efficient devices . <br /> (e.g. LEDs or compact fluorescents) in facilities. Using energy efficiently not only • <br /> reduces greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution, but it also saves money, simply <br /> because using less energy costs less.
