.
The city's agreement with Project Recover is for 90 days, and scheduled to expire around
January 1, 1997. Please be assured that we are working with the homeless, houseless, property
owners, business interests, and public service providers to arrive at some solutions which we
hope will result in some positive direction for the park, the people, and this National Register
listed historic district.
Staff will inform the Eugene Historic Review Board of your concerns at our next regularly
scheduled meeting, and provide them with an opportunity to comment on the portable toilet's
placement in the district.
As always we appreciate your understanding concern. Staff shall work diligently with the
affected parties to hopefully reach some solutions which will slow the incremental erosion of the
historic district.
Yours sincerely,
Kenneth Guzowski
Associate Planner for
Historic Preservation
cc: Mary Walston
