HAMMITT Bob
From: BECK Marjorie B
To: COOKE Leonard G
Cc: HAMMITT Bob; WHITLOW Dave A
Subject: Scobert Park Advisory Committee Staff Assignments
Date: Wednesday, October 23, 1996 2:59PM
Len, we talked about staff assignments this morning at the Scobert staff meeting. Public Works has the
lead (Bob Hammit), and most of the ongoing staffing comes from that department. Public Safety has an
obvious role, though, and we tentatively identified DPS staff who should work with the committee either
on an ongoing or as- needed basis. Dave wanted me to be sure you had reviewed these and okayed them:
Tom Brett - -as sector commander for that area, he needs to be there on an ongoing basis and be lead
contact for DPS issues.
Other people who may be needed from time to time, depending on the committee stage and issue:
Richard Bremmer -- because of ties to the public safety station and Whiteaker NAB
Jackie Turle- -for CRT strategies
Tod Schneider - -for CPTED principles for park design
Please let me know if you want to make any changes to this list. Tom in particular needs to know that the
first meeting is next Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7 -9pm at Public Works Maintenance. (Carrie Jennings, PW
Maintenance admin aide, will be sending him an agenda packet.)
The committee will meet every week or two weeks after that until February - -but not necessarily on
Tuesdays. We'II set a regular meeting night at the first meeting.
mb
Page 1
