More than 50 applications were received from which 17 individuals were selected. <br /> Selection was based on a membership mix that was reviewed and approved by the City's Citizen <br /> Involvement Committee. The following people have been selected to serve on the committee: <br /> Houseless appointees -- 1, 2, 3, 4 <br /> Local business appointees -- 1, 2 <br /> West Blair neighborhood appointees -- 1, 2, 3, 4 <br /> Social service provider appointees -- 1, 2 <br /> Immediate park neighbor appointees -- 1, 2 <br /> Horticulture appointee -- 1, 2 <br /> Voters pool appointees -- 1, 2 <br /> The first meeting of the advisory committee will be Tuesday, October 29, at 7 p.m. in the large <br /> conference room at Public Works Maintenance, 1820 Roosevelt Boulevard. This meeting will give <br /> committee members a chance to meet each other and get to know staff and the committee facilitator. At <br /> this meeting, the committee also will decide when and where to continue meeting. Before each meeting <br /> we will send an agenda and any other appropriate materials to you at the address listed at the top of this <br /> letter. Please advise me immediately if you would like to have committee materials sent to a different <br /> address. <br /> Thank you for your interest and willingness to serve.
