e) Preserve rural lands and open spaces outside of the Eugene/Springfield Urban <br /> Growth Boundary but within the established boundaries of the River Road and <br /> Santa Clara neighborhoods, with particular attention to implementing the parks <br /> and open space and surface water integration actions suggested in the <br /> Community Landscapes strategy. <br /> PROS Plan Strategies: <br /> D -2. Protect and enhance a variety of habitat types within Eugene's park and open space <br /> system, including oak savanna, wetlands, riparian areas, grassland prairies, forests, and <br /> working landscapes such as farm and forest land. <br /> D -8. Coordinate with property owners and partner agencies to implement the Rivers to Ridges <br /> plan and support conservation of nearby key regional natural resource areas, such as <br /> farmland, sites identified in the Metropolitan Natural Resources Study, West Eugene <br /> Wetlands sites, and the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers. <br /> E -16. Coordinate with other agencies and providers to encourage the development of a <br /> regional trail system linking Eugene /Springfield with Fem Ridge Reservoir, the coast, the <br /> Cascades, and the Willamette and McKenzie Rivers.
