Contact: Johnny Medlin <br /> FTE <br /> General Fund One -Time Ongoing Total Change <br /> Revenue Change - - <br /> Expenditure Change (25,000) (25,000) - <br /> Net Change - (25,000) (25,000) 0.00 <br /> Other Funds: <br /> Fund # Revenue Change - <br /> Expenditure Change - <br /> Net Change - - - 0.00 <br /> Fund # Revenue Change - <br /> Expenditure Change - <br /> Net Change - - - 0.00 <br /> All Funds Total Revenue Change - - - - <br /> Expenditure Change - (25,000) (25,000) - <br /> Net Change - (25,000) (25,000) 0.00 <br /> Brief Summary of the Change: <br /> Under this service reduction option, the Parks and Open Space Division would terminate the contract employee and cease <br /> implementation of the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan. <br /> Impact on Customers and Other City Services (include the Impact on Performance Measures): <br /> Implementing this service reduction would have the following consequences: <br /> • Our ability to match donated funds from the Friends of Hendricks Park. <br /> • Progress towards achieving the stated goal of a healthy, resilient, and sustainable forest would be slowed. <br /> • The Citys ability to partner with The Friends of Hendricks Park on fund raising efforts including current efforts to fund the Oak Knoll <br /> Restoration Project would be reduced. <br /> • Our ability to apply for grants in support of the goal would be significantly reduced. <br /> • Loss of the contract staff involved in the project would also eliminate their support of developing new strategies for the eradication of <br /> English ivy and other invasive species in Hendricks Park. <br /> • Loss of staff to lead and direct volunteers during invasive species control, seed collection and planting projects. <br /> • Significant reduction of the park staffs ability to recruit, coordinate and organize volunteers for work parties in Hendricks Park forest <br /> areas.
