Provide 3' wide (minimum) ramp extending
approximately 6', terminating at a 5' x 5' landing, thence proceeding Southerly
along exterior wall of Garage, approximately 20' to terminate in a new 5' x 5'
landing at the door to the converted Garage. Maximum slope of ramp shall be
1 (vertical) to 12 (horizontal). Handrails shall be provided at each side and shall
extend 12" beyond top and bottom of ramp. Rails shall be 1 -1/2" to 2" in
diameter and shall return to posts at top and bottom.
Cost estimate: $3200 (one 26' ramp plus 3 landings)
6: ENTRANCES AND OTHER DOORS:
Number: At least one principle entrance to each unconnected area must be
accessible.
Location of Designated Entrances: Entrances are located on paved accessible route
from H.C. parking area. Entrances to Utility Room at Residence and entrance to
Garage shall be upgraded to meet requirements.
Width: Exterior and interior doors which are on accessible route must meet the
minimum 32" clear opening width.
