1 <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> • <br /> To: Jeannine Parisi <br /> E U G E N E <br /> P arks and From: Kevin Foerstler, Amenities Supervisor, City of Eugene <br /> Op en Space Subject: Memorandum of Understanding for City of Eugene trash pickup <br /> at the College Hill Reservoir. <br /> Keeping Eugene Green <br /> Date: October 8, 2008 <br /> A DIVISION OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> 1820 ROOSEVELT BLVD <br /> EUGENE, OREGON 97402 <br /> (541) 682-4800 <br /> FAX (541) 682.4982 Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) and the City of Eugene (City) <br /> agree to enter into this partnership agreement to provide amenities at the <br /> WWW.EUGENE- OR.GOV /PARKS College Hill Reservoir site to improve sanitation and safety for public users. <br /> The agreement is as follows: <br /> EWEB will purchase and install a facility at College Hill Reservoir for pet <br /> P',RKS AND OPEN SPACE PLANNING waste and install one garbage can. EWEB will be responsible for repairs or <br /> replacement of the facility if it is damaged or vandalized. EWEB will <br /> PARK OPERATIONS maintain the pet waste facility and keep it supplied with bags. <br /> URBAN FORESTRY The City of Eugene will service the garbage can once a week, emptying <br /> and replacing the liner. The City will do a quick litter patrol while there to <br /> empty the trash can. Large amounts of broken glass, damage, or graffiti <br /> NATURAL RESOURCES at the site will be reported to EWEB. City Crews will check bags and let <br /> EWEB know when supply is low. <br /> This agreement will be for a one year period, until September 30, 2009.
